Our Current Projects

We are currently seeking out projects which will help voters stay informed of what is happening in local government.  Our website is only one of those projects. Please write your ideas to us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

To view the latest version of entire Charter of the Incorporated County of Los Alamos, please visit www.losalamosnm.us and click on "Municipal Code" under "Popular Links".

***Our most recent project was a Council Candidate Forum on September 12, 2010 at Fuller Lodge.  We thank all those who participated, attended and listened on the radio.  We also thank the community members who submitted questions to us.  The forum questions were gathered between August 14 and September 1, 2010 at the County Fair and on line.

*Below is a Chart originally prepared by Morrie Pongratz for the Charter Review Committee to work from.  Please see the notes at the bottom of the chart for further explanation.  If you would like to fill out the chart yourself to give as input to the Charter Review Committee, please request a copy at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Please Note: This table was prepared by Morrie Pongratz for the Charter Review Committee.  The last column was added by Patricia Max as a way to include other options that the user can note.  For example, a mayor could also be elected by the voting public.

Please also note that comments about Charter Review Committee definitions of a strong mayor and a weak mayor have been omitted.  You may add comments below.
